Rubber Boot Soles- A source??

Hi Gang,

Ok, I'm having a pair of 16" boots made but can't find any good "period" rubber soles. I definately don't want all-leather soles as these are for vintage hiking/camping etc and need some type of grip... But all the maker has in the way of rubber soles are modern types.

I'd prefer Cat's Paw in size 11 but anything would do that looks fairly 1930s. For instance, does anyone know where to find rubber soles from repro GI boots?? Either the one-piece sole/heel or two piece sole-tap and heel.

Any ideas or sources are appreciated!!!

Sole tech is the only one who make something close any more. Occasionaly you see some1/2 soles on ebay. Any shoe finder should carry the sole tech 1/2 soles. If you still have my number give me a call I am ordering some this week.
