I hate to get rid of this hat I have had it for so long, but it just doesn't fit.
The felt on it is n great shape, no moth nibbles. It is a beige/taupe color with a hint gold. It is soft enough to hand crease. The only flaw on the hat is the sweat which has a crack on it. The crack has been there since I got it many years ago and has never gotten worse. But I will say I do not wear it in the worst heat so I don't sweat on it. However I can't guarantee the sweat won't need replacing at some point. The felt is nice enough to make it worthwhile to someone who wants a nice OR style vintage Stetson.
It is a 7 3/8 with a 2 3/4" brim. The crown is close to 5".
I would prefer to trade for something in 7 1/8 to a smallish 7 1/4. Would like something around a 2 1/2" brim, open to color and open to ribbon though a nice wide ribbon would be good. Definitely prefer a vintage hat. The sweat makes it worth a bit less, but it is a fine example of a vintage stetson felt.
The crack does not go all the way through, it's not a tear. The last pic it looks like the sweat is messed up at the bottom of the crack, it isn't it's just reflection of light from a the slight crease made by the crack.
Definitely not in perfect shape, the sweat is in decent shape, it has some rigidity to it in places and is still soft in other places.
