Beautiful, brand new in the box, Role Club Engineer boots, Should fit someone with size 11D - 11.5 D comfortably. 30.5 - 31 cm interior length
Crafted in lovely Italian horsehide and hand over-dyed black, these boots will teacore with time and gradually develop a unique patina, so the rich brown undertones will show through. The boots have a soft unstructured toe and a full woodsman heel. They were handmade in Los Angeles, California by Brian the bootmaker.
I received the boots December 10, 2024. I tried them on and then I put them gently back in the box. The boots are lovely, but honestly, I already have a pair of engineers and find that I don’t really need another. The vamp on the left boot is also bit tight across my instep, a common complaint of mine with most pull on boots. For these reasons, and because I can use the money for other garments at the moment (a pea coat among them), I’ve decided to sell them. Sigh...
The boots are just gorgeous and of such quality that it boggles the mind. Whoever finds themselves in possession of these will be very happy indeed.
I waited well over a year to receive the boots. They were custom-made for me, but my sizing is pretty standard in general.
Interior length of the boots is 31 cm. The sizing on these boots equates roughly to a US 11-11.5. I generally wear a 10.5 D or 11 D in most boot brands. My specific sizing in a few brands: I wear a 10.5 in Viberg service boots. An 10.5 in Lofgren Donkey Punchers. A size 10.5 in Converse Chuck T’s. A 10.5 in Attractions Engineers. My Alden Barrie last size is 10.5 D. All U.S. sizing. These Role Clubs fit me pretty well, but come up a little long in the toe.
The wait for a new pair of custom-made boots from Brian can be pretty daunting (up to two years). If you want to avoid the queue and get a brand new pair of Role Club engineers at a discount (I paid $2375.00 for this pair) these boots are definitely for you. As they say, if the boot fits, wear it!
These come with Brian‘s new shoe bags, as well! Beautiful heavy cloth bags with a drawstring. No more plastic bags, what a time to be alive!
Please, let me know if you have any questions about the boots and thanks for looking.
