Reverse taper, no taper or taper

Reverse taper, no taper or taper. What is your choise?
I personaly love how hat with the reverse taper looks from the profile. But I am not always such a big fan of center creases.

Not big on tapers, myself. Why isn't a "reverse taper" referred to as a "flare". Me, I'm lazy and will cut out syllables wherever possible.

I think there's some correlation between hat taper and the taper or flare of the trouser legs of the time. (at least in catalog drawings)
