RESTORED AERO A2

A couple of months ago I bought this original Aero A2 from the States. It had synthetic knits and a horrid tartan lining. I have relined it and replaced the knits using berry ones from ELC. I have not been able to trace Stefanik as there are several guys with his name on the NARA website. I am not a 100% sure which contract the jacket is.

I like the colour of this jacket especially well. It has almost caramelized over time hasn't it? A beautiful hide. Whoever Stefanik was, he would surely be glad to see it so well preserved and cared for.

Great job on the restoration. The distinct color of the knits emphasises the leather.

I am not in the tailoring business, but used to make English Civil War uniforms 25 years ago when I was a re-enactor! So have had practice sewing etc..Here are some before pics.
