Regis Philbin to have heart bypass surgery

This morning, Regis Philbin announced to his co-host Kelly Ripa and his audience that he will be having triple heart bypass surgery later this week. He said he's been having chest pain and shortness of breath and "all those little symptoms you hear about". Reg, 75, would've preferred an angioplasty, he said, but there's too much plaque build-up in his arteries so major surgery is necessary. To lighten the mood, Kelly offered to be Regis' nurse and give him sponge baths.

Geez, I think we need to take a breath here. The guy has given us plenty of entertainment for decades. If he wants to continue that is fine with me. I hope I can be in as good a shape as him when I am his age---if I live that long. :eusa_doh:
He is akin to Dick Clark. They just keep going and going. Its kind of inspirational to the rest of us that they have been so productive for so long. :eusa_clap
