Has a few small holes, rough sleeve alterations and some lining that is loose.
Other than those minor problems this early 1930s National Recovery Administration (1933-1935) jacket is in great condition. Made of black worsted wool material that is 'see-through' when held to light with a combination chalkstripe and pinstripe pattern with silver flecks. Very beautiful.
Was owned by a costume shop at some point, hence the tag in the collar and the rough sleeve hem.
Arm- 25.5", roughly 1" to let down
Length from collar- 29.5"
Shoulders- 18.5"
Pit to pit- 22"
44s according to the costume shop tag.
Rough hem job. This photo also shows the true fabric color and pattern:
Lining under the jacket's left armhole is slightly loose, easily repaired:
Hole on left shoulder, roughly stitched together:
Hole on collar fold, barely noticable and repairable:
Hole next to left pocket flap, again could be repaired:
Asking $50 shipped CONTUS. Paypal only. PM if interested.
