Ok, simple as pie I thought to id my vintage red and white transistor radio. Who knew?
PowerTronic. Anyone ever heard of it. I am going crosseyed trying to find it. [huh] Surely someone collects radios.

My FIL that I knew as a child had his own little shop where he fixed televisions and radios. I have such fond memories of him and this shop. You never saw the man hardly without a radio of some kind and him listening to a ball game.
When he passed we knew nothing of his tubes and radio schematics. A dealer came along and bought them for a song. Years later I found out what we did. Part of the reason I am in this business. Knowledge is power and we had none. I do hope the guy was a collector and made good use of them though or someone did.

NOT an adapter, or you will blow up the radio and fuse the house, I had friends visiting from the USA they were staying at another chums home and used an adapter, for their Hairdryer!!! needless to say an electrician was needed!"

Some of these repro's are looking pretty good.

Lolly, you can find step down transformers at Dick Smith stores. Last one I bought was around $80
