Hard to tell the trouser cut (not one for modern trews, me) from those photos, but the vests look nice. I'd say prices, which are a bit rich for my blood at current dollar value, reflect the cost of US manufacture as much as quality. Be intresting to handle the trews; I've only really though of wax cotton bottoms as over-trousers for rainwear before.

I dunno about these....slim fit and waxed canvas sound like a medieval torture!
;)

On a serious note, the rise as noted on their site seems too low to be comfortable and especially do work in. Most modern designs fails miserably in this area. I wish people who want to charge 300 bucks for trousers would do some basic homework on fit.

I have to agree with your comments. I stopped by this shop in Des Moines, and they have them on the shelf. https://fontenellesupplyco.com/
Plus one of the owners of the shop had a pair on, but I failed to notice the rise. There's a lot of very good reasons Carhartt's work-wear is not cut as Low Rise. Next time I stop there I'll try a pair on to see.

I can't imagine anyone spending this sort of money on them will risk damaging them by actually working in them! ;)

I'm also leery of the ldea of actual trousers that I can neither wash nor dry-clean!

It's a really nice shape. Ironically, I was disappointed they don't do a wax cotton version! That would be great for heavy rainwear.
