Recarving a vintage 1950's table?

Hi,

I'm new here from England - found this forum whilst in the middle of trying to redecorate home (well, I think it's home, because it's certainly not a house ;)

I really like the 1950's straight/sturdy office tables like this:

There are a lot of cheap store copies of these tables, all in particle boards with veneers, all of dimensions too large for my small home.

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a custom carpenter, who can create one from draft plans using solid/recycled woods in the UK?

Thanks for any thoughts or advice.
