If there is a thread on here about reading glasses, I have missed it. Anyone have any special brands or styles i off the shelf models that you like? I bought a tortoise pair from Colonel Littleton that I really like. I also bought two pair in a leather goods store in the Houston Bush Airport that I like a lot. I forget the name of the place, it was one of the main leather shoe stores. What are your thoughts?

I am in that group where reading glasses are more and more a necessity than an option.

I wear glasses to correct distance and astigmatism but found that I can't adjust to bifocals so I stack on a pair of half high reading glasses in certain situations. Looks kooky but works well, especially where I need to read printed material and do entry in the computer.

I usually go to the local chainstore pharmacey and go thru their racks.

If one is interested in a pair of inexpensive reading glasses with a retro look, take a look on Amazon. Search for "retro reading glasses" or similar wording and you'll see there are a few nice looking ones in the $10 range. Here are some I that found in that price range:

I got an excellent, round, very vintage looking pair from an eBay seller for about $20, in tortoise no less. The seller seems to have a large inventory. It's buy it now so here's a link.
