Wondered if anyone's had a chance to scope out Ray-Ban's latest slew of browline offerings? A new catalog came into the office and I was pleased to see that they're expanding beyond the Clubmaster I & II to offer some nice styles that take inspiration from the variety of browline shapes and styles available in the golden era, and not just the basic semi-round/semi-square shape. Here's hoping that the lines are a success that stick around in order to allow individuals of all face shapes and sizes to look their best in this classic style:

I noticed those at the sunglass shop the other day. Not too shabby though there are now some high end makers who offer the same styles with superior craftsmanship albeit at a much higher pricepoint

Durability's key for me. Some other makers may have "nicer" designs/materials, but are they the veritable tanks that Ray-Bans are?

I had a pair of RX wayfarers for five years that endured hiking, jogging, climbing, beach outings, and numerous other perils, and I'd still have them if I hadn't have gotten cocky and tried to adjust them myself without the proper equipment and ended up snapping the temples.

I have both the Clubmaster and the Squared Clubmaster and both are top notch quality. The Squared is made in Italy, the Clubmaster in China. The Squared will probably eventually host Rx lens. There is also an Oversized Clubmaster. The store didn't have the Aluminum version (good thing) but will probably get some next year. Always pick up a pair of sunglasses tax free when we vacation in Oregon. Had to get 2 pair this year though :)
