You don't often see outfits like this. A country suit from the 1960s that combines a double-breasted coat with a pair of breeks. I suppose it was designed for going shooting on a cold winter's morning ...

a railway-worker style 'sleeved waistcoat' with lapels and corduroy back and under-sleeves. modern but vintage style.

we've recently been lamenting the 'drying up' of good vintage here in the UK. it's no wonder, Savvy Row seems to be finding it all !

I think they are based in the north-east. Maybe it's an area that doesn't have many other dealers out there searching for the goods. They certainly get more than their fair share of mid 20th century double breasted overcoats.

Good luck to them: the website is well organised; they respond to messages swiftly; they photograph the clothes clearly; they point out the smallest flaws; they send items out promptly; they accept returns; they find good clothes. And their prices are not over the top.

All in all, a professional oufit, with a website all vintage collectors/enthusiasts (I'm an enthusiast, not a collector) should keep an eye on.

their address is Durham, but that might not be the search zone. i doubt very much that the location comes into it, because they have a lot of Savile Row (and other London boroughs) tailor made stuff, and that's not something you find in the north very often.
