Hey guys I'm not sure if I have this right so correct me if not, but didn't the RAF pilots used to use a dark blue polkadot scarf? Anyone make a good repro of it?

Try ebay for a 'tootal' scarf.

The RAF didn't have an issue scarf as such (other than a blue itchy wool one!) But it was a tarty thing designed to cut down neck chafing to use a nice civilian scarf. Some pilots and aircrew used their girlfriends silk stockings!

They turn up all the time on ebay, so have a look on there. Other faves were paisley and stripes.

Good luck and Tally ho!

Socaspi, thanks for the link.. I just feel like that scarf is far too long and shiney white for my liking. I think the originals were parachute fabric but it seems like all the repros are shiney silk, wish i could find one toned down a bit though.

Kitty, thanks for the tootal tip, that looks like the ticket. I also noticed that WPG carries an "ascot" in the dark blue with white dots and it's only like $14..but ascot sounds perhaps too short :eusa_doh: ?

spitfire thanks for the link also, that ones looks like what WPG is selling. No mention of length either, but they'd probably both do.
