Quick Stetson size tag question

For those in the know on vintage Stetsons: If a size tag in a vintage Stetson is 3/4, would that be 6 3/4 or 7 3/4?

PS Yes, I've tried the search function, but you know how many hits you get with "Stetson" in the key word string?

If you look at the hats available on eBay as "vintage" and go through them, you'll soon come to the conclusion that the last two generations were mostly small-headed people. The dearth of large sizes supports the fact that these are most likely 6 3/4.

Thanks for the confirmation, Redpop. That was my conclusion as well, especially since the hat I was looking at was being sold with two others that were listed as being size small. I had hoped otherwise, though.

I think RedPop's right on this one. Just to make sure, it's not a bad idea to ask the seller to measure the inside circumference of the hat to confirm things one way or the other.
