Question about Avirex bomber waistband/cuffs material

I have an Avirex bomber 2nd hand, with the map acetate lining. Does anyone know what the cuffs/waistband of older Avirex jackets was made from?

As a general rule if you take bits of the pilling (little balls of raised fabric) and burn them . . then wool will turn to soft ash and nylon will hard clump . . .

I'd be surprised if Avirex used wool on that style of jacket . . .

Thanks! Ill give that a try. I have a really nice Schott 184SM that I think uses actual wool. Ill have to test it.
