Question about a wool suit I came across

While I was perusing the thrift store, I came across a heavy wool 3pc. suit that felt really fantastic. It was way too small for me, but was a light brown, almost tan with subtle stripes. The wool didn't look like anything I'd seen before, though. It had a very tight, soft feel which I can only describe as being like a long-haired felt. It was very smooth and supple and didn't have the texture of a weave.

Has anyone run across this before? Is this enough information to go on? I didn't have my digital camera with me, or I would have taken a picture of it. I can do that, if I need to.

sounds like maybe a moleskin, or brushed cotton, maybe?

As Marc says, it's impossible to tell without seeing it . . .

If it turns out to be really small and 30s or 40s, i put my hat in the ring first to buy it! sounds cool.

Depends on what "really small" is. That can be anywhere from 34" to 40" chest depending on who you ask.
