Only about 8 years and she'll have the longest reign of any British monarch too. I have no doubt she'll make that milestone (barring some catastrophe).

That would -also- be Victoria

63 years, 216 days

Should Queen Elizabeth II still be reigning on:

* 6-7 March 2008, at the age of 81, her reign would surpass that of Henry III.
* 11 October 2009, at the age of 83, her reign would surpass that of James VI.
* 12 May 2011, at the age of 85, her reign would surpass that of George III.
* 10 September 2015, at the age of 89, she would surpass Queen Victoria as the longest-reigning monarch in British history.
* 26 May 2024, at the age of 98, she would become the longest reigning monarch in European history, surpassing the reign of Louis XIV of France who reigned for 72 years, 3 months, and 18 days.

Hate to be pedantic, but she is only Elizabeth I as the first Elizabeth was Queen of England and Wales and was at that time still subduing Ireland.

Hate to be pedantic, but she's Elizabeth II, Queen of Canada, so I suppose she's Elizabeth II everywhere else too. She is queen of 17 nations, and the make up of those particular nations has no effect on her succession status.

God Save the Queen!

Bah Humbug! Elizabeth Tudor was never Queen of Canada either, all our current monarchs bear little or no lineage to those earlier and are just a bunch of parvenu Greeks and Germans. Reinstate the Stuart Monarchy!! (irony mode engaged).

Technically the Queen Mother was "Queen Consort" rather than "Queen Regina".

Her title was still "Her Majesty" even after King George's death when her daughter Elizabeth became Queen. This is because, "once a Queen, always a Queen"
