As I comb through boxes of my dad's "stuff", and my "stuff" to declutter and simply life, I come across much treasure among the rubbish.
In Families of the Lounge, I posted a photo of my then single mother carrying a bag of booze from and LCBO store (Liquor Control Board of Ontario - as Orwellian as that sounds it exists to this day and is the largest purchaser of beverage alcohol in the world).
Back in the day, things were slightly more puritanical than they are now. This is my father's PERMIT to purchase, possess and consume the demon liquor (legal age in Ontario is now 19):
