Hi!
I am hoping you can help me date this suit jacket please. :) I have googled but can't find the maker. Someone has told me that it is pre 1945 as Breslau is now called Wroclow.
There is only the one label in the jacket but I did find a ticket stub in one of the front pockets.
Thank you in advance. :)

If someone could translate that ticket stub that would be awesome!

I don't know much about German suits, but the single breasted peak lapel style was very popular in the 30's. Sorry I can't be of any more help.

Thank you MondoFW. :)
I think the stamp on the ticket says:
Technische Hochschule Darmstadt with Studenten - Ausschuk in the middle.
I am guessing this translates to the Student Committee of Darmstadt Engineering School ( later on renamed from school to university.)

A few semi-educated guesses about the jacket: the sharp cut of the lapel, the fabric weight, color, and lack of trousers (although so many suits got separated over time) makes me think it is a stroller/Stresemann jacket for semiformal daytime wear. And the sleeve length and shoulder suggest mid 30s to my eye.

Thank you Hap Hapablap. :)
I was unfamiliar with Stresemann style so found googling it very interesting.
I learn so much here!
Cheers! :)

Another point that suggests the Stroller version: the overlap (the distance fron the edge to the buttons on the front) is quite wide and this is a commond characteristic of formal wear from early age.
