I have always said that Huckel made the best velour finish in the world. No one came close. I dont know whether is is because they were allowed to use mercury in the finishing part of the bodies or the quality of the fur , but even today there is no equal. Every factory has tried from Borsalino to Barbisio , but no one has gotten it right.

They sure are amazing. That area (now Czech Republic) made the finest velour (Hückel, Peschel, Brüder Böhm) just wish I could find more of them. :)

BT, That is a amazing hat! :)

I know there are many other old velours out there! Please post them!
