Trying out a reserved subdued stingy brim of my own:

This is a hat that just makes me smile. I haven’t even brushed it yet; I just couldn’t wait to try it on. The fit is quite nice and I’m considering another.

This arrived yesterday. Do to some confusion in communication, this hat was made to the specifications of my last hat rather than the specs I wanted.

Now I need to decide wether to send it back or to keep it. Either way I’m going forward with my original hat.

VS beaver fur felt in blue smoke.

The photos of the hat in indirect light are the most accurate for color.

Hahaha. Been there.

Longhair Borsalino Alessandria from Sweden. Got a craving for Ikea's Swedish Meatballs.

From the seller's pictures, I thought it was blue. I like it in gray, but would have preferred blue.

I wonder what the inscription in blue ink says. Is it Swedish, or Italian? Italian, I think, would be Graffito, wouldn't it? IDK

It’s fairly modern, some sort of poly, poorly tacked ribbon, a bit dirty, too small for me and they stapled the price to the front brim ... but I couldn’t just LEAVE it there at the thrift store.

Did you actually get this nice Panama for three Dollars? If so, fantastic bargain. I missed out on the same model in size 7 3/8 just a few days ago on eBay; it went for 58,- Euro. BTW yours is exactly my size

Nice hand, very maluable, with stitched brim.

Did you actually get this nice Panama for three Dollars?

I looks like a super nice Panama, but feels like my Dynel hat. Would be good in the rain most likely. I could be wrong (not much experience with nice Panamas), but I would think Stetson (or Levine Hat Co., St. Louis) would have made some mention of the quality on the sweat. Does anyone have any details on this model?
