Echter Velour - Soleil, Crown Open 6 inches, Brim 2 1/4 inches probably 1930s. No company mark but the shiny golden felt is beautiful. The Wet Brushed Velour - Soleil is very soft to the touch and easily dry creases. The sweatband has come loose in few areas and there is some felt wear at the the front crease but still very wearable. I would like to thank Daniele for the tip on this one that was on German Ebay.

Wow..........looks Very 30's.....EARLY 30's....perhaps a little earlier.....love the velour finish!!!

This Dobbs straw has a trashed sweatband, an ugly pug, and the brim is a bit wonky. But no matter, this one is going to be the top half of a Duplex/Dualist hat in the future from Art or Bob.

My second Gannon just arrived. Basically a Stratoliner clone, but I requested both ribbons to be 5/8" rather than the more authentic 3/8". Pecan beaver with dark brown ribbon. Brim measures about 2-3/4" in width. Beautiful, meticulous workmanship by Michael. I'm in love with this pecan color, which is represented pretty accurately, at least when viewed on my iPhone. A very versatile mid brown with a distinctly olive cast to it.

Thank you! The pecan is a complex color, and I hoped the somewhat wider brown ribbon would emphasize the brown tones within the felt. I think it works!

Clean looking Straw Moe. I like the tallish crown height. The weave is nice, I'll check out the details on the Boater thread.
