Disney Milan with a heavy Frank Sinatra vibe.

Master Biltmore
Light weight soft lighter brown felt
Approx 4 3/4 Crown as Shaped (about 5 1/2 Open)
Just under 2 3/4 brim with bound edge
3/8 Chocolate brown grosgrain ribbon
Third hat from the Canada stack I chose because I really just want to wear it tonight. The Master Biltmore really only needed a good brushing to get rid of dust and cob webs. What a beautiful color scheme… I’m almost hesitant to describe the felt color as it changes so much in light. A light brown.. maybe pecan color that shifts darker indoors and the ribbon and brim binding a darker brown color. In some light it gives off an almost heathered look. The hat is unlined… though it may have once hat a liner. It is styled in Stratoliner/Open Road fashion. Considering the very soft lighter weight felt I’d lean more toward Strat. I just have not come across many TAR in this color way so I am very happy with this hat!

Really nice.. I would think late 50s early 60s.A bargain priced antique shop find yesterday. A Dobbs Cameron in Dawn (mid-grey with a nice blue tint). I have not heard of a Cameron model. Perhaps you have seen one Joe? @Blare
This one has a short 2 inch Guild Edge brim, a 2 inch black ribbon, and a Cushion Aire sweatband. This hat was sold at Lyttons and comes with a nice Lyttons hat box rather than a Dobbs box. I was hoping it was older but the Hatted Professor puts this one squarely in the 60s.

I second that!A lot of great things came from the 1960s, if I do say so myself.
Nice stingy. I think this and Joe’s are the only Camerons I’ve seen.
Wait.. I have a Cameron? I can’t keep trackA lot of great things came from the 1960s, if I do say so myself.

What a nice thin felt. I love the vent holesLet's start off the new year with a nice one. It did come in last year, but I only could take pictures of it this morning. Here it is.
Borsalino fedora in black. Size 6 with the stitched brim at 5cm and the crown at 10cm at the center dent. Unlined and vented and weighing only 65 grams (with leather sweatband) it is an ancestor to the 50 grammi hats Borsalino has in its line-up today. The label gives it away as being made in 1978.
Thoroughbred 10X from some time in the later years of Beaver Brands. The sweatband markings are pretty bad compared to older hats. I do like the style and the venting on the sides though.

Glad you are feeling a bit better. That hat should help… what a beauty!View attachment 477616 View attachment 477617 Happy New Year! I am happy to be back in the land of the living — my first post since testing positive for Covid on December 23. I’ve had better Christmas’s but I’m feeling lucky to have some time with my family now and excited for the new year.
This was my Xmas present to myself and my last hat purchase of 2022–a 1940s Stetsonian. More photos in The Stetsonian Institution.
Wishing you all a wonderful 2023!
Cheers,
David
