I found it a good home. I’m hoping for karma to kick in and the hat gods bring me something special. I’d take a 7XCB...just throwing it out to the universe.
You know the universe is a vast and cold place, Brent,
... but there's always hope!

what was the actual brim measurementLooking very classy with the new lid. The brim width looks very good for your face shape. Good choice!

Both inside and out that is one super nice Borsalino Georg. Onion liner, wind cord, semi wide ribbon, great sheen on the felt. It suits whatever style, as you clearly show in your photos. Nice find!Borsalino Superiore, Gran Lusso "L2260" in Nero.

You succeeded with the crown Rmc. I'm flattered to be of inspiration. Thank you.Thank you, Steve. I'm liking it a lot! You and Stefan inspired this one, too. I tried to build the crown to "look like" a Homburg. Hope I got close! I'll work on the curled brim next time around

Since i have a pause in my model "job" I can dedicate myself to others situations
Well, I add my contribution to the thread dedicated to Willoughby
Open crown
With a shape
Certainly this brand was a merchant who bought what he needed on the market, season after season, and branded it with his name.
I think that, despite the English or Anglo-Saxon name, the property was in partnership with the French.
In this case it is a disguised Habig, made in Austria as shown by the label written in French.
The hat is of soft felt and with all the tricks to be able to use it in the summer.
The dimensions are those of a hat produced in the sixties, but Steve will say much more and better than me.
The dimensions are those of a crown 14 centimeters high and the brim of five. The hat weighs very little and seems to have been little used or even a stock fund. There are very slight traces of moth here and there, otherwise the bow still has the seam to keep it in perfect order
and the inside is perfect
Some interesting construction details of the Habig Ventilo alias Willoughby.
There is a description of the ventilation system inside the hat
and you can see how the channels were made to let the air pass. Outside on the sweatband
Inside in the hat
Thanks Randy.
Very nice, Randy. The burgundy ribbon works very well with that hat. Lovely.New from Art. Black Cherry and Burgundy. 4 3/4 finished crown with center crease, 1 3/4 ribbon, 2 3/8 bound brim.
