That is a really sharp hat Scott. Do I see a bit of a pencil roll on the back half of the brim?I received my 1950's Stetson 3X today. Applied a little steam and it is shaping up well. 5" at the crease with 3.5" brim. Embroidered liner.

I am trying to put a little pencil roll in it. Probably going to take a little more work to get there. Thanks!!That is a really sharp hat Scott. Do I see a bit of a pencil roll on the back half of the brim?
Thanks Mike.Impressive! The script below the Stetson logo on the sweat is of interest. Have not noticed that type before. Really cool!

Stunning looking hat, Steve. Great find!Echter Borsalino, Point 5, Crown Open 5 1/2 inches, Brim 2 inches, probably late 1930s and made for the German market. The felt is medium weight and very pliable. There is a wind cord which is uniquely wrapped (see photo) with contrasting band and binding. There is a separate paper size stamp and the main paper label has "Amiata, C. Nera, Gorasgu". The hat is in mint condition and was sold by Ferdinand, Klan Hof i / B. (Bavaria).
Unique wind cord wrapping.
