Thrifted a Stratton "law man" straw. Now, along with my Resistol Trooper, I have all seasons covered while I'm out "patrolling".

Soak this milan in warm water and you can shape it into any bash you are looking for. If its the really stiff variety just soak it a bit longer in the warm water. Trust me you cannot harm this hat. I have done it to 3 so far.

I have two of them. They both shaped up with just steam. When Spring comes & more of them come on the market again I'll be looking for one in Sage. I don't need to spend a lot for a straw & you can't beat these for the price.

Friday afternoon came the mystery box on which I'd bet money as in a game of chance.
Saturday morning, with patience, steam, sponge and brush have revived eight of hats arrived.
Yesterday afternoon I put on this drying rack to air, during day and night, to revitalize the felt.
Well, having said that remains the mystery

What brands of hats are on the drying rack?
A little help: four Italians, three American and one English
Now sharpen your eyes and your knowledge and try to guess

The prize is a bottle of Amarone Valpolicella to drink in Verona

I'm no good at guessing this one Daniele, but if I'm ever in Verona I'll pay for the bottle of Amarone della Valpolicella! Truly a magnificent, noble wine! (even though I don't drink anymore.... hey, the meds can go away for a couple days, right?)

I like what you've done with these Jack. Yep ... for $4.00 I was not leaving the hat there (even if my wife did say "It's green" -- and not in a good way).

You've centered the answer in part, you can do better for the Amarone

Doug you should not be paying for Amarone.
It is offered by Daniele who knows the Italian wine very well, especially the wines of Verona (Valpolicella, Soave, Bardolino)

I have enjoyed Amarone several times, but visited Italy only once. While there I discovered several wonderful wines. Along with the Valpolicella and Amarone, also Teroldego and Lagrein from the north and in Piedmont: Dolcetto, Barbera and, of course, Barolo, among others.

Oh, my, and the heavenly Moscato d'Asti. What a little gem.

J.Hückel´s Söhne "Flexible", 58cm, Crown Open 5 1/2 inches, Brim with Curl 2 1/4 inches, probably 1930s maybe late 1920s. The felt is very light weight and very pliable felt (easily dry crease). The dressing (off-white wide sweatband, gilded liner logo, and barbed hat cord ) of the hat is really fantastic.

This Penn-Craft arrived yesterday. It is in great shape, sweat is nice and soft, the only damage is where somebody had attached a paper tag to the sweat with a twisted wire through a small hole, when I went to examine it to determine the best way to remove it, the wire tore through the leather, leaving a small nick at the edge. That and the expected verdigris. Wish the liner was still with it, but not a huge deal.

The crown is about 5 1/4" open, the brim 2 1/4" with curl.
2" ribbon. Raw edge. 120 grams. The felt is nice and malleable, and in great shape with no mothing that I can detect.
I have not found much info on the Penn-Craft division of Stetson, but it seems they had a short run from the mid thirties to early forties. The style (Lord's hat maybe?) looks late thirties to me, but my hat dating skills aren't the best.
Any input welcome!

1940s Stetson Nutria Quality with Reenforced Edge.

Has a little moth damage but otherwise is in great shape. Was made specially for the Sheriff of Orange County, CA that held office from 1939-1947.

According to the reorder tags the way the original sweat band was sewn in and the way the band was made this is a 1900 to 1920 stetson. Unfortunately the liner was missing and the leather band was deteriorated and had to be replaced.
