Please help me to identify the maker of this police jacket?

I bought this in a Sheffield Retro shop as:-
A. I like it and it fits.
and:-
B. It looks like an early Aero Leather/or a Taylor Leathers? - what do you think?
Oh and:-
C. It was a bargain (Is a bargain what the last fool was prepared to pay?)

Isn't that Ken Calder a nice bloke - he's confirmed its an Aero from 1985.

He sure is...but would never have guessed it was an Aero.

Did they make them for the police or was it a copy of a police jacket?

H.D. I know what you mean - it's not a well known style. I based my guess on the Ailee zip (I've seen these on early Aero jackets on their web site), and the wording on the label - its the same as that on other Aero Patrolman's jackets one can find on a search but these also have Aero Leather Co. on their labels.
Interestingly he also confirmed that the nose art A2 I posted in Vintage Finds and Deals is also an early Aero and again that one doesn't have Aero Leather Co. on the label.
S.L. I think its a copy or maybe even a made up one like the A2?

Yeah..the jacket is certainly cool...just quite different than the styles now offered.
