You have both brown and black, right? Great looking jackets too. In a way I’m glad the dimensions on the Mulholland don’t work for me- takes it completely off the table...whew.

I fortunately do and unfortunately in some regards lol the pattern works great for my build so I didn't hesitate to get it in both color ways. I do think a properly sized Cal is more comfy to wear so I'm still in the hunt for a brown straight zip

her jacket is so thin even her tshirt sleeve makes impression on it

Doubtless lambskin. Fashion jacket.

1967 according to the Rin Tanaka book

Thanks - based on jackets I'd handled I'd always guessed 1968, so I wasn't far off. :)

The four faces of the Ramones and their four different jackets! View attachment 359246 View attachment 359247

That's the bit everyone forgets, the different jackets pre-breakthrough. The shot above was used on the cover of the first album, released in 1976. By the time they put out their third album, Rocket to Russia, in 77 (their second album that year!), the cross-zip was the norm for all save drummer Tommy (who thereafter vacated the drum stool, to be replaced by Marky Ramone before their next release in 1978...):

Legend has it that, for this shot, they had originally gone looking for the location in Queens where the first album cover shot had been taken, but no-one was able to locate it.

Tommy does seem to have gotten with the cross-zip programme at some point before he left:
