I had a 1948 console Philco once... the dial was somewhat like yours, didn't have the push buttons though. Only had two light bulbs, one at each end of the dial.

You'll find the panel lamps coming off the filament winding on the power transformer. 6.3 volts -- and most Philcos of the pre-war era used bulb #44.
Note that the sockets for these lamps will almost always be decayed -- they used rubber internal insulation which will have dried up -- and will have to be rebuilt. Instructions on how to do this are here.
Follow these instructions exactly and carefully -- if you don't, you can short out the whole filament circuit, which will ruin your power transformer and leave you up the creek.
