pea coat manufacture

hi has anybody heard of this company K & D clothing company was thinking about purchasing another pea coat , navy issue and when given the contract number and year (1998) also given this company as the manufacture i have never heard of them and wonder whether this is a genuine navy issue coat thanks for any replies regards damian.

Don't think so, but I might be wrong. Don't K&D make generic and not very well made clothing?

I'm sure the resident expert, Peacoat, will have more info but that doesn't sound like a manufacturer of issue peacoat. I just googled K&D clothing and it looks to be a Chinese company. I would ask for a photo of the tag and compare it to the ones listed on the stickied thread above. There are some fake tags floating around that purport to be official issue but are not.

I agree with Dep and Seb Lucas. I believe, but not certain, that Sterlingwear has had the contract at least as far back as 1998.
As Dep says, try to get a photograph of the tag; that would be definitive. Failing that, get the exact wording, line by line, of what is printed on the tag. That would give me something to go on. Right now it doesn't pass the smell test.
