PBS: "Island at War" Nazis Invade British islands!
I found this item this morning while updating the news… I hope this is going to be the Television Media Event of the Season. I also hope they're going to be a lot of period costumes and cars!
San Francisco Chronicle - San Francisco, California, United States: Three families torn apart by Nazi occupation of British island in PBS series based on real events, by Leba Hertz. “…in June 1940, the Germans took over the Channel Islands, a British sovereignty 10 miles off the coast of France, and occupied them until May 1945. PBS begins "Island at War," a five-part, 7 1/2-hour "Masterpiece Theatre" presentation that's a fictionalized account of what it was like to live under German occupation during World War II.
Island at War: First of five-part “Masterpiece Theatre presentation premieres at 9 p.m. Sunday on many PBS stations.
