The brim are overwelted

The shape is a classic Italian hat from the sixties-seventies
A medium-high end Panizza hat for that period of transition
The Ghiffa house produced really astounding felts during the heyday...

Most of the time the felts on Panizza are "incredibili"

President Panizza made in Ghiffa (old production) come from Copparo-Ferrara

Size cm. 59 (7 3/8 US) brim are 4,5 cm and crown (low point) is 11,5 cm.

Plain brown fur felt very soft and malleable

Brown-black ribbon in silk with some texture

Medium finishes with a white lining

The brim are overwelted
The shape is a classic Italian hat from the sixties-seventies

Ediston was one of the best hat from the last Panizza production in Ghiffa (Lago Maggiore)
Yours is really awesome. Difficult to see with satin ribbon, usually it has the ribbon in felt.
Lapis = Term that was first (sec. 16 °) called blood (lapis aematitis), then usually the various stones used to draw, and finally the wooden beans containing a graphite wand or coloring matter, used to draw or write, to which today is commonly also gives the name of pencil.
Lapis is the deep grey color in Panizza "dictionary".
Royal has, according to fashion, brim from 6 to 4,5 centimetres

Plain grey fur felt medium soft with black textured ribbon 3 cm. high

Medium finishes with a white lining

The brim are overwelted
Another classic Italian hat from the sixties-seventies

A medium end Panizza hat with a "creamy" felt of very high quality

The Ghiffa house produced different types of President to meet the likings of people divided into Borsalino and Barbisio suggestions

Size 59 cm US 7 3/8 with crown at 11 cm (4 21/64 inches) and brim at 6 cm. (2 2/4 inches)

Very soft blue fur felt finished with short hair

Excellent finishes with white linen

The shape is a very Italian-UE classic rendition

The brim is finished with double stitching on both sides

This probably has to be my favorite hat of all time
