Panama problem

I have a nice Stetson Medalist Panama hat. Unfortunately its right bash has 'collapsed'. Instead of being rounded in shape like usual it has enlongated, extended down below the ribbon. I hope that's clear, I don't have any pics. Is there anyway to pop and keep this elongated part into its original shape?
Thanks,
Billy

I think I understand what you mean.
Look at the pic I posted
pic 1 this is what you mean by the round shape.
pic 2 the shape has drifted down to the ribbon
pic 3 is what I have done to help elimate this problem. I have a hat jack that I place in my hat. In the pic it is place in between the two arrows. I do not tighten it very much, just enough to push out the indentation. I then spray the straw with water and let it dry, I have had to do this several times but usally have good luck with removing the indentation. If you do not have a hat jack you may be able to use a bowl or some such rounded object.
Good Luck and let use know your results.

Thanks RBH,
That's exactly what I'm talking about (great visual aid). I'll try out your technique and see what happens.
Thanks again,
Billy
