We could use it here today: low 50's, rainy, and dark. Looks like a typical day in Dublin. Poor tourists.Beautiful breath of fresh summer air.

For details you'd need to read the entire thread.Short story is that he apparently has moved to the US southwest. His sources in S.America have essentially dried up and I don't recall him posting anything in the last several months.Hey, its been a while since I was last on here. Prolly a few years. Anything new with Panama hats? Has Bob disappeared for good? I bought a boat load from him several years ago, so now I have a good number that are trying to break out and get worn!
i'm in the market for the ultimate summer hat to deal with the Los Angeles heat. have a decent budget and want to get a great montecristi panama. to the experts on this forum, where should i be looking to get the most hat for my $$$?
The above suggestions are good;I'd also contact Mike Miller @ Northwest Hats as I think I remember him having some panama available.i have a request into Art Fawcett - he's working on finding something special. will look into the others.
Lots of Panama hat bodies. The above suggestions are good;I'd also contact Mike Miller @ Northwest Hats as I think I remember him having some panama available.
Yes, I have Mike making me one as we speak. He has a stack of very nice bodies, his price is quite reasonable. I could never float a Montecristi past the wife, but she was impressed with Mike's price on the straw when I told her how much the Monte was. Call or email Mike, you will not be disappointed.Lots of Panama hat bodies.
What a great looking hat! Super for summer time. Now what size is it?My thoughts and feeling exactly when I saw it. Thought if I didn't hurry I'd lose it.
John Penman has 1 or 2 super duper fino fino semi-colado Montecristi hats posted on his website. If you're really wanting the ultimate, there it is, along with the suggestion of Brent Black, which is where John's hats were sourced from.
As stated, do check with Art at VS, and Mike at NW Hats. You never know what's out there until you check. Also, Bob Jesse at BSHW. All those hatters make some super Panama hats.
I thought his hat bodies were only Cuenca? I didn't kno he had Montecristi.Yes, I have Mike making me one as we speak. He has a stack of very nice bodies, his price is quite reasonable.
