Bob,

What block is going to be used for 4 inch brim hat? That is a fantastic hat. Just curious, what is the price for a 1600 wpsi hat?

Beautiful hat!!! :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

Here's a commissioned Montecristi that arrived yesterday. It is about 1150 weaves per square inch. Unblocked, 4 inch crown, 4 inch brim. I'll try to get some photos of it when it is finished.

I have a 1600+ in the mail and a 1400+, too.
These photos have told more than 1600+1400 words-time to present your work at its real value - congratulations to the hatworks crew!!!!!

Gents' I'm seeing the pics but have asked Tom to return it. I see something wrong that happened during shipping so I need to take care of it & get it back on the Lounge.

It came while I was out of town. Nice hat. Tight weave. It does have the white on it, but I don't mind that much. The thing I don't recall the seller mentioning is the tear in the middle of the brim in the back. It's not big, but it's there. Not going to stop me from wearing it, though- fits great. I don't have much to add as far as the outside looks- it looks pretty much the way it does in the auction photos.

Rocking a beater "panama" given to me by a friend 'cause it didn't fit him....

It's rather interesting in a way. He has some Ecuadorians who work for him. I believe one brought him back this hat. It's got a cloth sweatband in it, which is screen printed with "barranco" and www. ecuadorinhat. com (which seems to be a bad link nowadays). It also says "Genuine Panama Hat Cuenca-Ecuador".
It has a sewn brim edge and a (horrors!) glued on ribbon.
Also neat, it came in a white cloth bag that also looks like a hat! With a hat crown top piece stitched onto it, a "band" stiched around it, with a red, blue and yellow insignia on the top (Ecuadorian Flag perhaps?) It was pretty warped and misshapen when I got it, a little steam and it looks sharp.
Well...I think it looks sharp....:p

Daizawa - congratulations!

This is a great panama hat
Art is a real master in hats.
The weave and the color of the panama hat is really nice and even.
The ribbon has again the beautiful color harmonies.
