Those certainly are rare. I wonder how many years Stetson made the 150? I’m thinking it wasn’t many...aside from Bob’s, now yours, I don’t recall seeing another. I’m glad to see that you now have one in your collection.

I think the first two photos in Max's post may be one of the others here on the Lounge. It belonged to @Dinerman.

I’m just guessing, but I don’t think it continued past 1970 when Stetson closed up and sold their name. The 100 went some time into the 1960s so the 150 wouldn’t have been made for many years.

Love the rare ones, and who doesn’t like the factory suitcase hats?

Thanks, Vic. Is 1978 the last time the 100 shows up in a catalog or it that just the last you are aware of? Do you know if the 1981 10X was a 100% beaver hat? I’m thinking yes as it’s “natural beaver” color, but we all know what happens when I get to making assumptions!

It’s also odd that some of these hats only went up to size 7 1/2. Curious.

My 100 doesn't say OR anywhere on the hat, but the paper reorder tag does say Open Road.

From a local auction house that was conducted online only through a 3rd-party site:

Few detailed pictures showing the sizes. There was a 6-7/8, 7-1/8, and a 7-1/2 but with only a 4-3/16 height. I was hoping my winning bid would fly under the radar, but alas, was bested with less than two minutes to go when the forced increments started going up at $25 a pop.
