Hey all,

I picked up a very nice original Werber B-2 which i believe dates back to 1932. As there are very few images online for this extremely special jacket i thought i would share the pictures here so there is a permanent record of it. Its a beautiful jacket in near perfect condition apart from a small tear on the back (real shame) but still a fantastic example.

Enjoy

You don't see many of these around. Clearly this one was well enough used that the pocket was removed to stop it catching on harnesses - I don't think I've ever seen an original with the pocket intact. Maybe if they ever catch on in repro world, we'll see someone doing a "weathered" version with the pocket stitching holes in place but no pocket as a 'thing'. I've always loved the B2, but apparently there's not much demand for it which is why there are limited repros (only ever seen Buzz and LW). I suppose it's that same thing of it not having appeared in the movies that make WW2 seem sexy and cool....

It is so easy to forget the Few.

Oh, yes, them too - though I've never seen one in person. If I could buy a LW in a shop on a visit to the US, I'd be tempted, though I don't know tat I'd want tog take a risk on dealing with them by mail. The problem I tend to find with the Japanese stuff is that it usually stops just a size or so below what I would ideally need. Same with the Chinese bits like Bronson - I hope that changes, as it's not always easy to find good repop stuff I can afford to wear just as often as I prefer.
