Ordered an Aero Bootlegger

Howdy folks.

I'm new here, but I've been reading as a guest for a while now. I learned about Aero Leather mostly from here actually.

I ordered an Aero Bootlegger from Mark at AeroUSA about a month ago. Customizations are Vintage Brown Horsehide, Red Stewart worsted wool, zippered outer breast pocket, G-1 style inner pockets on each side with snaps.

I read somewhere that having an inner pocket along with the outer breast pocket can be somewhat bulky, can anyone confirm or deny this on a Bootlegger?

I'm also looking at what hat to wear with it. Right now I'm looking at the Akubra Federation IV regular, does anyone have any pictures of what it looks like with a bootlegger? Or a better recommendation?

I have an identical pocket configuration in mine, never had a problem. The key seems to be not to over-stuff any one pocket. I've worn a Fed with mine, no photos, though. More often I wear an eight-panel cap with it.

I purchased an Aero 'sale' jacket with two G-1 style pockets several years ago. I liked them so well that I ordered my new Bootlegger and Stuart with the same setup(pics are on this forum). Never been a problem for me with either bulk..or printing on the outside. In fact..it adds a little extra warmth with the pocket lining. I rarely..if ever use the outside pocket..but do use the inside pockets for a few items. I think that you will like the Bootlegger..!
