OMG! Deco DC-3 flatware

While perusing some of my vintage shopping sites (stuff I'll never be able to afford, but I can dream, can't I?), I found this set of silverware designed for the DC-3 in 1936. A MUST HAVE for all aviation buffs. You'll notice they don't even mention price. Hey, you know, if you have to ask, you can't affors it. Drool away, gang.

That's cool! My Mom was a Stewardess for Western Airlines in the 50's. She flew on DC-3's exclusively. Might get her a set!

Sort of comparable to railroad silver ware, but, given its vintage, a quantum level higher. But ain't they cool?

American Art Deco DC-3 Aircraft Rolling Cocktail Cart by Frantz Industries

This streamline American art deco rolling cart was developed by Frantz Industries in 1938 for use on the DC-3, the legendary airplane that revolutionized air travel. The first aircraft to have an in-flight kitchen! Constructed of aluminum and black Bakelite, the cart was designed to roll the down the aisles of the DC-3 but will look great serving in your home. The decal reads “Frantz Industries, Genuine Aero-Art Product, Los Angeles” The cart measures 31” long x 15” wide x 30” high.
