I'll have to see if I can unearth my favourite photo accident. My wife and I were in an old cemetery taking pictures a couple years ago. I had just loaded my camera with a fresh roll of black and white film and noticed a neat statue of a young woman. I took a picture and advanced the film, though it seemed a bit jerky. I tried again, snapping another from a different angle. Advance film. Film catches. Try another shot at still another angle. Advance. Film freezes. I was SO pissed that I felt like hurling my camera as far as I could throw it. Still, I decided to wind the film back in the canister in the event I had one shot which might develop. To my utter astonishment, when I got the film back form the developer, I did, indeed, have one outstanding shot. Turns out the film wasn't advancing at all, but I managed a triple exposure of this statue which made it look like there were three of them conversing with each other. It was worth wasting an entire roll of good film for that single photograph. I'll try to look for it tonight.

Not Much Here

So many vacation photos are of cemeteries, but I find them fascinating. I wrote about one I saw in MA that was an intense experience for me.

There's not much in my area. Some Victorian Mausoleums. Not much statuary.

I hope we see some pictures here?

Those are lovely!
I'm not that great of a photographer, but there's some pictures of the cemetary at St Andrew's mixed in my Scotland pics here.

Well, that's decided

"The holes are to allow the juices to escape"

Cremation it is, for me, then.

GREAT photos Lauren. I'm going back to them...
