NOS Lesco Cafe Racer

SOLD I've been on the hunt for a cafe racer for several months and stumble upon this one on ebay. I think my search was vintage motorcycle jacket as cafe racer wasn't turning up anything I was interested in. I just got it today and it fits like a glove and is really nice. I assume it is steerhide, but it looks very similar to my Aero FQHH although the brown cafe racer is slightly darker brown than my Aero. I think it is veg tanned as there is some color variation as per Aero. Not as heavyweight as Aero FQHH, but not far from it. It weighs 4 lb. Lined with some rayon type lining - no insulation at all. No handpockets either. The measurements are correct and it is a slim jacket even for a size 40 (although it is labeled a size 42). The guy also has size 38 and 42 in addition to a few more size 40. Keep in mind you'll need to size up at least one. It is a factory second (or something similar) although I found no defect. I'll try and get some pics up eventually. My tripod broke and I'm a bit embarrassed to ask my daughters to photograph me!

I agree. I'm a 40 and the 42 is a slim fit on me. The 21 pit to pit works for me (esp. with the action back), but the jacket is pretty slim through the waist as well. I'm thinking of having the wind/storm flap removed. I'm not a biker, so I don't need it and I think they look sleeker without that extra flap.

wow, great find! amazing deal brand new, shipped price. super tempted to grab a 42 myself, 1 left -- it'd fit me well i think. i like the relatively extra arm length and jacket length compared to schotts/vanson.

but i already have a couple leathers for causal and on the bike, all just bought just in the past year (thanks to this forum!) ... if i got this jacket, it'd have to go in the "hide from wife" thread!

saving up for a horween messenger bag/brief now but oh so very tempted by the lesco. would love to see pics -- it may sway the final decision.

i BOUGHT THAT SAME LESCO FROM THAT SELLER, AT A STEAL OF $80.00
the seller had a lot of them at that time over a year ago. im a 42 i did not check out the measurements
it was a beauty.very heavy duty. but toooo small so i gave it to my Dad & he gets nothing but compliments

I've had one of these. Pretty nice overall. The hide and construction ain't as top grade as say a Langlitz, but for the price point and fit it can't be beat. They generally go for around $100-125 used, so a NOS one at about the same cost is a good deal IMO. They definitely fit on the slim side...

Anyone know if Lesco was a US or CA brand or anything else about the company?
