Non-safari adventuring jacket?

Since I've decided to use the Folkwear Bush pattern for my safari jacket, I've been looking around for some more jacket options.

I know the first thought you had when you read the title was "Wested Indy". But that's not what I want. I'd prefer something slightly more original-looking, with a longer look but maybe leather still?

Are there any vintage jackets that fit the bill?

Hi Kodiak,
I'm not exactly sure what you are looking for in a jacket. Something like a Mackinaw or field coat?

There are a lot of tough outdoor jackets & coats that have not changed much since their introductions back in the early 1900s. Try searching the following:
Many carry similar styles in both cloth and leather versions. You'll also find both short jacket styles and longer coat styles. Although not necessarily found at any of the aforementioned outfitters, you can also purchase cloth versions of the A-2 flight jacket and other classics. Give us a few more specifics on what you're looking for and chances are somebody knows exactly where to find it.

By the way, how's that safari jacket coming along? I have the same patterns but haven't yet purchased the material I want for it.
