I found a nice suit at a local shop today. I didn't pick it up even though it fits me because the price is kind of high and it is not something I would probably wear.
It is a tan single breasted in a size 38. Probably short. THe pants are a waist 32 but have been let out a bit already. The length is about 30 inseam. Pleated pants with dropped loops. Probably late thirties I would guess. No nra or other union tags. Made by that company in ROchester NY. I will post some pics later, or send them to anyone interested.
It is a pretty rare find so I thought I would mention it here to see if anyone is inteested.
Unfortunately, the price is $165. With tax, shipping and paypal, it would be about $185. Not cheap, but not terrible for a belted back.
It is single breasted, two piece, unfortunately, wide lapel three button. The fabric is like a gaberdine but slightly heavier and rougher. Is that a wool serge? The condition is good. No holes. maybe a little limp, but no wear visible. Probably needs a good pressing and steaming. The color is a darker tan, almost a khaki. Two patch pockets at the waist, and one on the breast. Very beautiful suit. Just not me. I would wear a double breasted or three piece, but wouldn't ever get around to wearign this one.
