I've noticed over the last few years that many news anchors, specifically the women, dress as if they are heading out to a night club after their shift, or have just returned from a night of partying when on in the early a.m. Some wear very low cut shirts, flashy fabrics, have unnaturally loud hair highlights. I can understand MTV but when did this spillover occur? Or am I just being too old-fashioned?

Although I don't care for Fox news I think Shep Smith is the classiest anchorman as far as style.

Its the still the old model for anchor teams on a main newscast ( 6pm and 11pm) - hot chick (usually blonde - but depends on demographics) and the older gentleman (to bring gravitas).

Sartorially - Shep is great, as is Brian Williams and Anderson Cooper. For the older style- Morley Safer (60 Minutes) always looks sharp as did Ed Bradley.

As a reporter and former anchor, I try my best to dress well and look presentable - at least from the waist up!
