New thrift store find: Egyptian suit

I picked up a nice blue DB suit today at a thrift store. The jacket is a tad big, but seems to fit otherwise. I'm not as savvy as some of you folks when it comes to what constitutes vintage style, but it looks very classic. Wide lapels, higher-waisted pants than modern suit pants, cuffs, etc...

It was made by Vestiaco. I did some digging and found out that they're an Egyptian and French company. I hit their website and found they have some nice classic styles:

I got to digging around in the pockets, looking for reciepts or cleaner's tags or something and found a little tag with Arabic writing on it. That's when I hit Google. The suit must have been made in the early '80s, but it still has a classic look to it. I'll post a photo when I get home. I want to find out any "you should have looked for this" type stuff you folks might point out to me.

Here's some pics of this suit:

I think this is hand stitching, right?

But the strangest thing about this Egyptian suit is the cut. Check out the button placement:

It's a little bit large and I'm not sure I like the fact that it only buttons on the bottom buttons (there are no top button holes).

I'll see what the alterations lady says, get it cleaned, maybe wear it some, and if I don't like it, I'll get rid of it.
