Might as well post here. Been lurking for a while after getting into hats. I watched a few too many westerns a few months ago and decided I like to have a hat. Bought a "smoke gray" Revenger off of eBay and (after lurking here) called up the Hatco outlet and ordered a Silverbelly OR. It's not a vintage but I'm impatient and it's nice enough for me.. for now. I have my girlfriend wanting one too. Told her she's lucky she has a small head, there is no shortage of vintage hats for her .

Wanted to stop in and say hello. Been visiting for awhile and thought I would join so I could participate in some of the threads. Every morning I open up the "What Hat Are You Wearing Today?" thread and read it like the newspaper.
As far as hats go, I certainly don't have the collection like some of you have, and the vintage hats I do have aren't in nearly the condition I've seen on here. Off the top of my head, I believe I have 6 older hats (Stetsons/Cavanaugh/Borsalino/Adam)
and around 10 newer offerings from Akubra, Stetson, Borsalino and an Art Fawcett that I absolutely love.
Anyway, hope so you all around The Lounge!

New member I am just Checking in. I would not call my self a collector. I have two vintage hats, one I picked up at an estate sale. It is a blue Knox Stingy fedora. No idea as to the Model or year. It has a plastic over the tip liner. Instead of a Ribbon Bow it has Corded trim and a raw edge. and My guess would be 60's or 70's. I also own a no name Charcoal Gray stingy Fedora. It also has plastic over the Tip Liner. The Crest is two Griffins on ether side of a shield. No imprints on the Black leather hat band. Looks like it has an owners Mark on the lining tip. Used to be Gold but now it has turned Green. L. h....ris.

Welcome to the Fray! These two are a nice start to a collection. I would say they are 70s hats, way to get your feet wet. Stick around!
