Welcome, Riccardo! I just love the increasing international flavor the Lounge is taking on. Don't apologize for your English. It is better than most of our Italian. :) I have a Borsalino from the 1940s that I just love. It's my favorite hat.

I've never heard of Panizza. Post some photos of your hats so we can all enjoy them!

Brad

Something about "PANIZZA"

Hi Brad,
I can't post my Panizza hat's photo becouse i haven't got any, but in the future i'll try to do it.
Anyhow...Panizza is an Italian old hatter firm, now you can search its web site with GOOGLE: i don't remember the exact address.
And then, here are 11,00 P.M., i am going to sleep!!
Hi Brad, enjoy your Borsalino, visit Panizza site.
Have a nice day!
Riccardo.

Caio, Riccardo!

Welcome to the Fedora Lounge. Where do you live in Italy? I have family in Milan and Padova. One of my favorite hats belonged to my grandfather who brought it with him from Italy, but who died here before I was born. It was made by Adolpho Pioppi in Verona. Benvenuto!
:cheers1:

Welcome Riccardo!
My mother was born in Livorno and her father used to love his Borsalinos. Good to have you here and happy to see a fellow Italian.

...how many Italian...

hi boys,
ok, i'm from Sicily (Sicilia) very near Sigonella, i'm 50 km on the south of it.
Sicilian old men are well known as "uomini con la coppola" in english... "men that wear a cap..." cap=coppola!!
Cap/coppola is weared from 70 80 years ago...a lot of old man wear it until today...(my english...)
In heart of Sicily there are a lot of man that wear coppola winter and summer...a very nice thing to see.

Bye.
Riccardo.

Ahhh.... a Sicillian- so... is Casselli (spelling? s/ss) quite a 'Sicillian' name?
my limited research points to 'yes' on that one but you're from there...
I've tried to research my family on my GX3 Granddads side but not found much.

Hope you have fun here and we can talk about more than Sicilly... he-he...
...eventually-
