I saw a Stetson in a western store yesterday that was almost exactly like that. I checked it out cos it was in my big head size. The exact same color combo but the binding was a bit smaller on the brim (probably too cut cost)and had a more generic cattleman crease. It was well over a hundred and something.

I just bought a 1967 Custom Resistol silverbelly XXX Fur Felt western hat. I love the thing.

I paid $75 for it, its in great condition, and its very Hank Williams!

High bid means nothing with one day to go. Many things can happen before the auction ends. Even then having the high bid is no guarantee. I recently won a hat, paid immediately only to get refunded a bit later. Emailing the seller twice to ask what happened, but no reply. Checking his feedback I noticed someone else going through the same BS.

When it's in your hands, you've "won" the auction, in my opinion. Hopefully it measures up to expectations which can fluctuate with the price paid. I'm sure everyone here has had experiences at both ends of the spectrum.
