Just won this Brooks Brothers 3pc / 3btn on eBay:
amazing VINTAGE brooks bros "346" 3 pc SUIT
I think it's a very nice, understated, classic style. It should fit without alteration, though if the jacket measurements from the suits I've picked up from eBay lately are any guide, I'll probably have to have it altered. I don't know how people measure these suits, but I've been getting stuff that's off by several inches.
Here's a Hart, Shaffner, Marx I picked up the other day:
The HSM suit is a little big on me. It was listed as a 42 but the waistcoat and jacket are bigger than that. It must have been let out. I'm hoping I can get it taken up without it looking weird.
I've been looking for a summer suit, but these came along recently and I got them cheap enough that I didn't feel like I could pass them up!
Anyone else had experience with either of these brands? I think they look acceptably classicaly-styled. What do y'all think?
